Permits, Rates and Service Charges

Explanation of Charges

Developers and property owners needing to connect to the Ironhouse sewer system have additional fees they are responsible for. The most common service fees are outlined below.

Current Charges (As of July 1, 2025)

  • Connection Fee - Please see the charts below for rates. The connection fee is $10,360 for a single family home and based on building square footage, dependent on type of use. See attachment below. 
  • Permit Fee - The fee charged covers plan review and administration fees for setting up a new connection.  See attachment below.
  • Inspection Fee - The inspection fee for repairs, connections and main line construction are included in the attachment below. 
  • Lateral Certificate Compliance Fee- This fee was established on May 20, 2025 to reimburse ISD for the cost involved in inspection and administration to issue a compliance certificate. The fee is $202 for a compliant lateral.   
  • Ordinance No. 25 – Ordinance setting methodology for permit fees and connection, trunkline, and plant capacity fees. See the ordinance document below .
  • Ordinance No. 72 - Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 25, repealing the connection, trunkline, and plant capacity fees, and adopting a new consolidated capacity fee for FY 2020-21. See the ordinance document below.
