Ironhouse collects an annual Sewer Service Charge from each property connected to the sewer system. The current residential rate (as of July 1, 2024) is  billed annually as a line item labeled "Ironhouse SEWER USE FEE" on the property tax bill you receive from Contra Costa County. The total amount is for a Single Family Residence is $916.39 per year (equivalent to $76.37 per month).

Ironhouse's fee structure is mandated under California State Proposition 218, which was approved by voters in November 1996.
