The Rate You Pay

ISD collects an annual Sewer Service Charge from each property connected to the sewer system. The current residential rate (as of July 1, 2015) is $54.83 per month, billed annually as a line item labeled "ISD SEWER USE FEE" on the property tax bill you receive from Contra Costa County. The total amount is $658 per year.

For a complete list of rates charged for other services the district provides, see our general rates page.

ISD's fee structure is mandated under California State Proposition 218, which was approved by voters in November 1996.

These materials are often labeled "caution," "warning," "danger," "poison," "toxic," "flammable," or "corrosive."
