The Rate You Pay
ISD collects an annual Sewer Service Charge from each property connected to the sewer system. The current residential rate (as of July 1, 2015) is $54.83 per month, billed annually as a line item labeled "ISD SEWER USE FEE" on the property tax bill you receive from Contra Costa County. The total amount is $658 per year.
For a complete list of rates charged for other services the district provides, see our general rates page.
ISD's fee structure is mandated under California State Proposition 218, which was approved by voters in November 1996.

Household Hazardous Waste
Oakley and Bethel Island residents are eligible to use the Delta Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility to dispose of unused portions of chemical products used to clean and maintain your home.
These materials are often labeled "caution," "warning," "danger," "poison," "toxic," "flammable," or "corrosive." For details about which items are accepted at the collection site, how to properly transport them, and where the collection facility is located, visit the Delta Household Hazardous Waste website.
