ISD fees
As consumers in the ISD system the fees you pay each year on your property taxes are divided into three separate categories: Trunk Line Capacity Fee (TLC), Plant Capacity Fee and User Charge Fee.

ISD periodically adjusts User Charge Fees based on the consumer price index (CPI). The following prices will be in effect for the 2006-07 fiscal year.

The cost of the fee will only go up a minimal amount of money, based on a CPI regulate fee. The monthly service charge shall be equal to the total number of equivalent service units and is usually $34.33.

These rates are very compatible to fees that other districts in East Contra Costa County charge. Some communities send monthly bills with sanitary district fees to residents. Oakley fees are collected each year on property taxes. The current increase is the same increase that other local communities will be instituting over the next year.

While the User Charge Fee is charge annual on residential taxes, the TLC, currently at $778.00 per service unit, and the Plant Capacity fee, currently at $3,411.30 are paid one time when permits are taken out for new construction.
