The Ironhouse Sanitary District handles the wastewater treatment needs for the communities of Oakley and Bethel Island in eastern Contra Costa County. We have been performing this function since 1945, and the district continues to evolve to meet the needs of our customers as we begin a new century. Our emphasis has always been on customer service, and it is thanks to the efforts of a talented and efficient staff that we provide service for thousands of households and businesses every day. We have endeavored to make this site easy to navigate. By following the links to the left of your monitor you can receive information about district regulations, learn something about our history and receive timely notification of upcoming public meetings. We are also proud to be able to share with you articles from the Ironhouse Insider, ISD's official newsletter published three times a year. If you are an ISD customer you should be receiving a copy of the newsletter in the mail. It will help familiarize you with the people and issues making news in our district, as well as provide tips on how to protect our valuable community resources. ISD wants all our customers to be involved and informed. If you have questions or know of ways we can better serve your needs, we invite you to contact us by phone, letter, e-mail or visit us at our district administrative offices located on Walnut Meadows Drive in Oakley.
